Inat Kuca (the Spite House)
During works on the Miljacka River at the end of the 19th century, it
became necessary to tear down a house on the right bank of the river.
The owner refused permission for the demolition, but finally agreed on
the condition that the house was moved, brick by brick, over to the
other side and out of spite demanded an additional pouch of ducats.
This house, now known as the Spite House, is one of Sarajevo's most
beautiful national resturaunts.
